Hume Care Review 2026: GLP-1 Options, Costs, Terms and Eligibility

Hume Care starts with an online assessment, but the clinical care is provided by an independent physician network. This review explains the medication categories, self-pay subscription and important limits before you sign up.

What Is Hume Care?

Hume Care is a technology and administrative services platform for a self-pay weight-management programme. It does not itself provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or prescriptions. If initial screening requirements are met, users may be connected with an independent third-party Clinical Network whose licensed physicians provide the clinical consultation and make all treatment and prescribing decisions.

The service is available only in the United States, only in covered states, and only to adults aged 18 or over who meet the current requirements. Telehealth may not suit every person, and an independent physician may recommend in-person care.

How the Process Works

  1. Complete Hume Care’s initial online screening and create an account
  2. Provide truthful and complete health information for the clinical consultation
  3. Meet with or communicate with an independently licensed Clinical Network physician
  4. Receive the physician’s decision about whether treatment is appropriate
  5. If prescribed, choose an available pharmacy partner and follow the treatment and monitoring plan
Not for emergencies: Hume Care’s terms say the service must not be used for urgent or life-threatening conditions. Call 911 or use local emergency services when appropriate.

What Medication Categories May Be Considered?

FDA-approved branded GLP-1 medicines

Independent Clinical Network physicians may prescribe branded medicines with FDA-approved indications, subject to clinical suitability, pharmacy availability and the product’s prescribing information.

Compounded GLP-1 preparations

Hume Care’s terms allow consideration only when an independent physician decides a compounded formulation is appropriate for the person’s individual clinical circumstances. Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved and are not equivalent to FDA-approved brand-name medicines.

Hume Care does not offer retatrutide. Retatrutide is investigational, is legally available only through Lilly clinical trials, and FDA states that it cannot be used in compounding.

Membership, Pricing and Cancellation

Self-pay programme

Hume Care’s current terms describe a cash-pay programme that is not enrolled with Medicare, Medicaid or other insurance programmes.

Price shown at checkout

Plan type, billing interval, prepaid total and promotional pricing are disclosed during signup. Certain medications, doses or fulfillment options may carry additional charges.

Automatic renewal

Membership renews at the then-current rate unless it is cancelled before the renewal date.

Cancellation deadline

Current terms say cancellation can be submitted in the Account subscription area or through support and must be completed at least 48 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.

Limited refunds

There are generally no prorated refunds for partially used membership periods. The terms contain specific exceptions and conditions that should be read before purchase.

No medication guarantee

Hume does not guarantee a prescription, a particular medicine, a specific pharmacy or any particular treatment outcome.

Pros and Limitations

Potential advantages

  • Online-first screening and access to an independent physician network
  • One programme combining platform, clinical consultation and medication costs when applicable
  • Progress-tracking and app-based support features
  • Clear acknowledgement that prescribing remains an independent clinical decision

Important limitations

  • Self-pay recurring membership that renews automatically
  • Not available in every US state and not available outside the US
  • No guarantee of treatment, prescription or a particular medicine
  • Compounded options, when considered, are not FDA-approved
  • Telehealth may be unsuitable and in-person evaluation may be recommended
  • Retatrutide is not offered

Who May Find It Suitable?

Hume Care may suit a US adult aged 18 or over who lives in a covered state, is comfortable with a self-pay subscription, can use telehealth technology and wants an independent physician to assess currently available GLP-1 options. It is not a fit for someone seeking retatrutide, someone outside current coverage, or someone needing urgent or in-person medical evaluation.

Read the separate GLP-1 eligibility guide before assuming that passing an online screen means clinical approval.

Questions to Check Before Paying

  • Which plan and billing interval am I selecting?
  • What is the full amount charged today and at renewal?
  • Is any medication, dose or fulfillment choice charged separately?
  • Is the proposed medicine branded or compounded?
  • Which physician and pharmacy will be involved?
  • What monitoring and side-effect support are included?
  • What is the exact renewal date?
  • How do I cancel at least 48 hours before renewal?
  • Which refund or results-guarantee terms actually apply to me?
